Terms of Service

Agreement

These Terms govern your use of Trustevo's website, PII Guardrail browser extension, and related services (collectively, the "Service"), operated by Trustevo ("we," "us"). By creating an account, installing the extension, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

The Service

PII Guardrail detects and masks personally identifiable information on-device before it reaches AI chat tools (ChatGPT, Claude, and similar), then restores the original values in the response. Detection and tokenization run entirely in your browser; no prompt content is transmitted to our servers. See our Privacy Policy for details on what we do and do not collect.

Accounts and plans

• You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your login credentials secure.
• We offer Free, Pro, and Team plans. Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or annual) via Stripe.
• You may cancel a paid plan at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not provide partial-period refunds except where required by law.
• We may change plan pricing or features with notice posted on this site or sent by email before the change takes effect for existing subscribers.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to bypass the extension's detection or licensing mechanisms.
• Use the Service to violate any applicable law or third party's rights.
• Resell, sublicense, or provide the Service to third parties outside your authorized team seats.
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.

Intellectual property

The Service, including the extension, detection models, website, and all associated trademarks, is owned by Trustevo. These Terms grant you a limited, revocable, non-transferable license to use the Service for its intended purpose. You retain all rights to your own content; we claim no ownership over your prompts or documents, which never leave your device in the first place.

Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. PII detection relies on a machine learning model and is not guaranteed to identify every instance of personal or sensitive information. You remain responsible for reviewing content before sharing it with any third-party AI tool. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fully compatible with every website or AI provider.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Trustevo will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, revenue, or profits, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with notice where practicable. Sections covering intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability survive termination.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the product evolves. Material changes will be announced via email to registered users or posted on this page. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
